Gilroy Gardens 2008

So Brannin Picked up some free passes to Gilroy Gardens(Formerly Bonfante Gardens) and since Will is under 3 we got in free. We arrived right at Will's naptime so he was in no mood for the scary rides, but after a warm-up in the large playground structure he wanted on everything! Waiting in line was a new concept to him but I think he picked it up before the end of the day. I recommend the gardens, the topiaries and such are really nice, the place is non-profit, and there is an educational side for when Will gets older. We'll go back sometime I'm sure.

Will did better than Daddy did when daddy was age 5 doing Teacups at Disneyland.

Driving the Big Cars...

After being energized by the playground, Will hit the Big cars....

and Driving the Little cars Too...

I thought he might break his wrist or split his cheeks with how hard he he was smiling and waving. I guess I'd better start saving for his car insurance now...

Pre Cool

Otherwise known to adults as "preschool." William will begin preschool on Tuesday, September 2nd. I feel blessed that he will be going to such an incredible preschool. He is very excited about "pre-cool" and about playing with all the kids. His pronunciation of this word has evolved from "pee-cool", which I fear has a whole other meaning. I think it is "pretty cool" that Will is so excited about his first school experience.

Poco a Poco

We took a spontaneous trip to Grandma & Oompa's last Friday night. On Saturday, Mom taught Will how to saw, "poco a poco" which is Spanish for little by little. He has been running around and saying all week. However, his pronunciation is not that good and it sort of comes "punto a punto", which I think is a bad word in Spanish. We continue to work on the correct pronunciation.

Car Carrier

Will is obsessed with moving objects and/or anything with wheels. He has recently been spotting car carriers around town and on the freeway. This morning he made his own.

2 Lawn Boys

So, Tom has been our faithful "lawn boy" since we moved in two years ago. Will and I were in the front yard a few weeks ago playing T-ball when he noticed Daddy mowing the lawn. He ran into the garage and got his lawn mower. It was so cute. Our neighbors, who were driving by, stopped to tell us how adorable it was.

Mt. Shasta

We went to visit Aunt Eden, Uncle Sean, Ransom & Zephyr. Our friend Jenny from Oregon and her daughter Lily met us there because it is the half way point between our house and hers. We had a grand time with four children all under the age of 3! It was chaotic, but very fun. We had dinner outside, fed the chickens, and went to the Lake Shastina one day.
